Mar y Tierra was established in 1996 as a small seafood and meat retail store at the heart of Bechara Industrial Sector is San Juan, PR. Soon thereafter, its founder, Rafael Rodriguez Toymil, expanded into the food service sector by specializing in pork meat and it's by products.

The high demand for custom cuts of meat to fulfill customer's needs made us expand in the food processing business. In year 2008 we acquired our new distribution center which also houses our state of the art USDA food processing plant in Trujillo Alto. This new center as well as our high level quality and service have helped our client list grow to over 750 including restaurants, hotels and retail stores.
